Tuition Assistance

Catholic Education Foundation

The Catholic Education Foundation for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (CEF) will once again offer tuition assistance grants for the 2025-2026school year.

Grants are available for Pre-School - 8th grade students. FACTS Grant and Aid applications must be submitted to be eligible for this award. Families up to 750% of the Federal Poverty Level are encouraged to apply. The deadline to have all 2023 tax return information entered into FACTS Grant and Aid for eligibility is February 16, 2025.

Please visit www.CatholicBestChoice.org for more details and instructions on how to apply.

EdChoice

Our school is officially listed by the State of Ohio as an EdChoice Provider. EdChoice is a scholarship program. There are two kinds of EdChoice scholarships: Traditional and Expansion.

At the K-8 level, Traditional EdChoice scholarships are given to students who currently attend a public school designated by the state as "underperforming." They are also given to students entering kindergarten who are assigned by the state to a public school designated as "underperforming."

EdChoice Expansion scholarships are awarded to students from families with lower incomes. There are qualifying criteria. A family can look at these criteria and determine their eligibility. A key feature of the Expansion scholarship: students currently enrolled at QP can apply. This is not the case with Traditional EdChoice.

If you plan to apply for an EdChoice Scholarship, it is a good idea to do so on the very first day the application window opens. There is not an infinite number of scholarships, so the earlier the better. Scholarships are essentially awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. The prospect of running out of scholarships has not been an issue in previous years. But, with a dramatic increase in the number of schools on the "underperforming" list, the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) is expecting a spike in the number of scholarship applicants.

Also, important EdChoice forms will be available on the ODE website .

St. Stephen Assistance Fund

This assistance is available to K-8 families who do not receive the maximum level of EdChoice Scholarship. If you are a new EdChoice applicant, we will have to wait and see what your award is before we determine your eligibility for St. Stephen assistance. If you received St. Stephen assistance last year, you will receive it again this year. The exact amount of your assistance will be determined in March. Contact Josh Mears at jmears@qphamilton.org for more info.
